About Me
I work full time around horses with many years of experience behind me and strive to create happy owners and happy horses. I use natural horsemanship techniques and apply this to all types of riding whether that be competition performance or happy hacking wanting a bit more knowledge.
I start and break in horses, as well as taking on schooling horses that are troubled and have a bad history, or just wanting more milage and control. At BKW Equine we work with the horse to create a partnership rather than using power and strength against it. We always have horses leaving with light happy contact and understand what we ask them as riders.
I also do lessons, private or group and I teach at local pony club rallies. Lessons are an awesome opportunity to fine tune your riding and improve things you didn’t even know were there creating a better horse and rider relationship.
I am currently in the process of qualifying as an Equine Body Worker so if you have a horse that you believe is sore and you would be happy to use as a case study please get in contact through my email address below. I am also currently also completing an ‘Associate Diploma in Equine Studies’ so you know your in safe hands with me.
Flick me a quick email if you are interested in any of our services.
BKW Team
The BKW Team is currently four horses strong.
Totara is a Dutch Warmblood x Stationbred currently competing on the show jumping circuit at 1.20m level. For the 2019/20 season we hope to be very competitive in the Amateur Rider Series
Apollo (Cheval Vapeur) is a OTTB currently standing at 16.3hh at only four years old. He is bred out of Fully Fledged and St J'adore (Zabeel). He is currently coming back into work after having time to let down for racing and we are very excited for his future. He has done some winter shows and will be entering low level jumping classes in the 2019/20 season.
